Location at clock-in and clock-out

Version 2 · in effect since October 28, 2026

This is the same text people accept in the StandBeat app.

StandBeat uses your phone's location only at two moments: when you clock in and when you clock out of an event.

  • Why: to confirm you are at the event location when your shift starts and ends.
  • What is saved: the position at that moment, how precise it was, and whether the phone reported a simulated ("fake") location.
  • When: only at those two moments. StandBeat does not follow you during your shift, after work, or on days you don't work, and it does not ask for "always" location access.
  • Who sees it: admins and supervisors of the company you work with, next to your clock-in and clock-out times.
  • How long: as long as the company keeps your time records (see the Privacy policy).
  • If you say no: you won't be able to clock in from the app. Ask your supervisor to record your hours instead.

You can withdraw this consent at any time in your phone's settings or by contacting the company you work with. Withdrawing does not affect location data already saved.
